Nineteen minutes by Jodi Picoult

I loved this book. Even though the story is so devastating and sad, Jodi manages to tell it with heart. In a way that you really feel for all the characters in the book. One of my favorite Jodi Picoult books I think.

The story is about Peter who is the shooter in a high school shooting drama. He kills 10 people and hurts 19. We follow Peter, his family, his lawyer, and Peters class mates through the book. Especially a girl named Josie and her mother. Josie and Peter were friends when they were little, they were not popular when they were small and Peter never gets to experience this. Josie on the other hand manages to become one of the people to be at their high school. Through the book we get to know a lot about Peter and Josies childhood, what has happened from they were babies until the day Peter starts shooting. It's a story about a lot of bullying and not noticing the bullying. We follow the whole community through the trial until the end.

I really recommend this book.
